Hi Guys

I took my frame for a respray. Got it back and the crown on top of the fork was glued on skew.

So my lbs had to brake it off just to fit the fork in the frame again.

To make a long story short can I only get that top piece of the fork separate or do I need to buy a whole new fork?

It is for a Trek Madone 6.9 model.

I will do a full name and shame later on as the bike was sprayed by a very well known guy in JHB.

Thanks

Ian

Will take some later on and post of the actual fork.

But I have attached another pic.

On the top part of the fork you get that piece of plastic that goes over the fork. Looks like the diamond shape.

That part is broken.

I think your best bet would be to contact the Trek distributors directly and find out if they sell or can source the part your looking for.

If they can get it for you it would then be up to your LBS to get from the distributors for you, as most don't sell direct to the public, I don't know what Treks policy is.

Also maybe give Solomons in PTA/ JHB a call I know they stock quite a bit of Trek stuff, maybe they'll have a replacement fork for you in one of their branches. (012 five four six 02 43)
