Non servicing of Shimano STI's is a fallacy:-

Refer to Barnes Cycling Manual Chapter 30 - Shift Mechanisms, page 11 - Shimano STI service.

The only special tool you need is the Shimano TL-ST01. A simple tool that anybody who is handy can make with a file.

Sounds weird that you in one morning came across 3 problems with Sti Levers as we only have warranty issues for approx 5 per month. Again i stress to all whom ride with Sti make sure you have outer and inner Genuine Shimano cables' date=' do not settle for anything else and also make sure you got original chain rings, chain and cassette.

Just stating the facts, if you find that weird maybe they just throw those shimano thingies in the dustbin and upgrade to CAMPAG.

I personally didnt think it was weird JUST FUNNY!!!!!!(As my riding partner is a big ShimaNO fan!!!) Will give you his contact details if you would like to be so helpful as to upgrade his Sti's as they are still brand new!!!!!!!

Here  we go again why don't you just say listen guys sorry for the problems you had bring them in we'll change them.  BUt now you have to start all over again with the"If it's not geniune cable s and casings, warranty void"  rather say listen bring in we'll change.  You know Steven tht's what they call service delivery, something your company and others for that matter have no cooking clue as to what it is, and how it's done .  Get over it **** happens , happens to every on , but the way you handle it either wins you a client or loses a client .  And by what they say you either lose alot more OR win alot more

Just my R0,02c worth

The original post only mentioned one pair of shifters (the 105s) being brand new. you might see that one coming in for a claim, except if the rep rejects the claim because it was incorrectly installed/incorrect accessories, etc.

if the others are past the warrantee period, you wont see them. Sad news for the owners, as they are ultegras.
