I hope this is the right place to ask my question...

I'm 1.78 with an inseam of 80cm & I have a medium Trance 2009 still with the curved top tube.

The cockpit seems too cramped for me with any stem shorter than 90mm. Even with wide-ish bars. (710mm)

TT = 585mm with 90mm stem = 675mm

I also have a Morewood Shova in large with a 45mm stem & 730mm bars

TT = 610mm with 45mm stem = 655mm

It doesn't make sense, but I feel so much more "in the cockpit" on my morewood Shova large.

I feel too much "leaned over the bars" (for lack of better term) on the trance.

Now my question is:

I can get a new Giant Trance (26er) in large, but the giant site states 79.25cm / 31.2" standover on the large.

I see the giant site states the same standover height for the previous model with the curved top tube in large which IMO should have been a tad higher since it had a very long head tube (165mm) compared to the current model (145mm). Both large

Can anyone please measure the actual standover for me? (30cm from front of seat tube)

Any other inputs will be appreciated.
