I'm next to the Orange river at the moment where the daytime temp can run to 40*C in no time.

 

My problem is that my rear disc (Avid Elixir5) starts to bind up when ambient temp starts to go above 32*C If the bike stands in the sun the brake just locks up.

 

Do I have too much fluid in the system? and expansion causes binding?

Front brake is not affected.

 

How do I solve this

I could be wrong, but could be air in the system? A poorly bleeded system could cause this I think.
