Road riding in PE and Road (or tri) bike rental in PE

Hzt PE hubbers

 

I'm going to be in PE for a week or so at christmas and am hoping for some good suggestions for where is safe and best to ride. I'm looking to do rides of around 100-120kms a couple of times while i am there, mostly in the early mornings or late afternoons. Any tips which way to go or areas to avoid?

 

Also to save flying with my bike, does anyone know a shop that lends out either road or tri bikes?

Not sure of renting of bikes but cycling around PE is pretty safe - you can do a long ride to Van Stadens mouth and back around Marine Drive which will give you a good 130km or even take the old Van Stadens Pass Rd to Jeffreys Bay and back which will also give you a very decent ride.

 

Try get in touch with Fabes - he does road and tri and I am sure would be happy to show you some rides!
