svm3000 Posted July 14, 2014 Author Posted July 14, 2014 HI Grey we are busy with the access gate at the moment but we have been having srious problems with the peaceful strikers , who came in a small group off 400 or so throwing rocks through the windows trying their best to frak down the gates to come kill us So there is a delay in the gate production , but in short , the members will get a access tag and anytime they come to the club to ride , they will swipe the tag ( just like the gym ) to gain access , day visitors will go to the pro shop to purchase a day ride number , which they will key in the key pad to gain access I am sorry the access system is not in place and I am hoping it will be in place next week , thanks to all who have joined and happy riding

Grey Hubs Posted July 21, 2014 Posted July 21, 2014 SVM, Must say the course extensions, rocky paths and small drop-offs and additional flow through the course has made the course a new challenge for me. I'm loving it!Walking to the front and leaving the bike to pay R25 is a pain...The sooner I join, the more time I will have on the track! Do you know if there will be specific opening and closing times on this track? Good work! appreciate the effort!
svm3000 Posted July 22, 2014 Author Posted July 22, 2014 Grey once you a member you can ride there anytime , the acess will be automated so you can ride whenever you want , For the day riders the pro open from 7am -5:30pm but they will be able to purchase multiple rides if they wish to ride early one morning or later one evening , The access gate is finished and I am hoping that it will be in place this weekend Thanks for the feedback Grey
Ian-Ross Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 This is an outstanding initiative, the efforts of the founders can’t be under estimated, but the foresight of the golf club must also be acknowledged. Despite living in a nearby estate with its own mountain bike route, I happily took out an annual family membership today. It is worth noting, that the pro shop and club administrators were most welcoming. I was however surprised that the “family free ride” age limit for kids is 16 years, is this an oversight or intentional? It seems out of kilter with the rates on offer, that my school going child (grade 11 / 17 years) would need his own annual membership or am I misunderstanding the rules?

Grey Hubs Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 SVM,What are the maintenance plans for the course now and especially in summer? We both know how quick the grass an weeds can dominate the paths if not maintained correctly.
