Reversing the route was a revelation. There seems to be more flow and some of the technical bits are more fun. You can also see some nice spots for the berm builds forming.

The mielie field section is bedding in nicely.

We need to keep riding the new red section especially around the dam cos it still needs some traffic.

Myself and buddies are willing to help lend a hand. We usually ride Saturday mornings (the bunch of bearded okes with boeps) so we can always bring our spades with.

Dude, it's the East Rand...you have to narrow it down a bit more...!  :whistling:

I have seen a lot of guys cutting corners on the trail creating "shortcuts" even in the new section where you supposed to go up onto the hump and left along the spine of it - everyone is going straight across.

It is starting to mess with the trails layout and creating some havoc where guys unexpectedly cut you off and you got to do some accident avoidance.

Pity that some are to lazy to ride the trail as it is intended and have to venture off the trails.

Thank you S14

:cursing:  :cursing:  :cursing:  why not just honour the trail line or just walk until you can  :cursing: ride it.

Damn Neanderthal troglodytes.

We will get back in there this weekend with a chainsaw and create a few more 'trail guides', leaving the shortcuts for the experienced bunyhoppers

We rode the yellow route (and some parts of the red) yesterday with our wives, and 2 young kids. There were 7 people in our group, so it was a bit tough going and caused some traffic problems. Sorry to anyone we inconvenienced! The trail definitely flows much better now, and is still do-able, even for kids. There were a couple of branches and stumps, etc facing into the trail, which would be dangerous if you hit them, but luckily it was light enough to see them and avoid them. That would be my only criticism, but otherwise thanks a ton for all the hard work, and congrats on improving the trail. I'm sure it's only going to get better :)

Thank you Eugene

We have constantly tried to keep the trail safe, but challenging. There are a few places where moving off the designated trail can be hazardous, but frankly that is the nature of trail riding.

Because the forest is a living entity, we constantly have trees falling over and branches falling onto the trail. We deal with these as best we can, always trying to keep things safe within reason.

Safe and happy cycling  :)

Thank you.

I have advised Darren (The club CEO).

Hopefully it will be removed during the day.

Another big tree fallen across the trail about 300m before the old stop sign.
