Collected mine this morning and was surprised at the number of people collecting theirs too. Carpark was full.

They didn't ask me for my license. So much for the 17th Feb deadline.

Since being a co sponsor of GW, TDF has always had number issues for the race, when the KP cocca cola was held Finish Line used to also issue numbers, same with Johnson Cyce works with the previuos Edenvale one.

Perhaps other (read PTA) event organizers can arrange something similiar with the PTA lbs's

So we go and collect our numbers from TDF this morning. It went something like this

Friendly lady: "Good morning!"

Me: "good morning can I please have the following numbers..."

Lady proceeds to find numbers and returns.

Friendly Lady: " Here you are,I am terribly sorry but we have run out of goodie bags"

Me: " Oh"

Friendly Lady: "Would you like a calendar instead?"

Me: "No thanks"

Friendly Lady: " would you like to buy a temporary licence?"

Me: " No thanks"

I look over my shoulder and sure enough there are people voluntarily buying temp licences.

Browse around shop & leave.

Now two things strike me as odd here.

1) Surely with an online entry system you know more or less how many goodie bags you are going to require with a provision made for late entries as well.

2) Is it compulsory to have a licence or not?
