My shock is about 4 months old. I have had the shock replaced by the Merida agents who were great about swapping it out after 2 months after it first leaked.

Its just lost pressure again and had to have new seals fitted. This time it was done by Pro Bike who were fantastic and fitted them while I waited about 15 min and didn't charge a cent.

Whilst I appreciate the great support behind the shock, I am also curious as to whether this is a common problem with the shock.

Had the same issue with mine as well. The hole shock screw apart by hand and the seals are really very easy to replace as well. I took the gamble and did it myself but my feeling on the matter is that the lockout is where my problem lies. Since removing my lockout and not using it the shock kept air up till today and it has been almost 3 months without having to check pressures.

At Yellowsaddle we had a foolproof method for servicing these. Johan would give them to me to do and I would drop them off at Pro Bike! :whistling: .

They are not great and tend to loose air, usually from the air sleeve seal.
