I would love to hear form anyone who can recommend a cycling clothing manfacturer.

 

I'm trying hard to support SA based companies but as of yet have no one has bothered to answer me. Well, one did..sort of....

gianni, what price bracket are you looking at?  If you are in Cape Town you can try Rapid Sports.  Quick and cheap with good fit.  You might want to upgrade the chamois inserts though.

 

We have just gone with Anatomic - Nice fit, reasonable design, but the graphic design process was a bit tedious.  Got there in the end though and very happy with it!

 

From a corporate side we had some kit made by Slick and I was disappointed.  The insert has funny holes in it, but the worsat was the tops.  VEry bad cut that flared around the shoulders and sleeves and cut in around the waist.  Not happy.

 

Otherwise you can go for the more expensive, but very nice semi-imported stuff like Venezia or Vermarc.  You will need 25 piece minimum orders for them though.

I can also vouch for Le Tour, very nice people and very helpful. I have met with them twice to discuss custom made shirts for a polo team, and they were quite willing to help me.

 

They will custom make for you, print cycling shirts etc..

Thanks everyone. I'm going to try LeTour as they answered me within 15min of e-mailing them.

I did e-mail Vermarc but they forwarded my request to their UK agent (I'm currently in Ireland). I'm not looking to pay agent's fee etc etc especially when I'm not in their territory.

Anyway my first choice will always be an SA company as long as the quality of service is good.

+1 for Vermarc - excellent kit and a painless process to get the kit designed. And it arrived on time. That's never happened with 4 previous orders with other local manufacturers. Why not contact the SA Vermarc agents?
