Water in Deep Section Wheels

I have Microtech deep sections. A small but irritating problem I am experiencing is the ingress of water into the rim when I wash my bike. Interestingly, only the front wheel is the culprit - it also has happened on riding through a puddle.

 

Is this fixable , has anyone had similar experience with this?

 

Any help and advice would be much appreciated.

Take the tyre,tube and rim tape off. Should drain.

 

Is annoying, but you should rather just wipe the wheels clean with a wet/damp cloth. Don't spray them with the hose anymore, and you'll only need to worry about wet weather or those pesky puddles...

Inherent problem with some deep sections.

I found that it normally takes quite a bit of water before it gets into the rim though ... not just a quick hose or a puddle.
