Hey Guys,

Im a MTB rider based in solheim (Bedfordview / Edenvale) and I'm looking to do some morning rides for fitness.

Ive seen some old forum posts of groups and some cycle clubs around the area, but they're either very old posts or clubs with mostly PRO riders.

Anyone know of groups that ride in the area for intermediate/MTB guys?

I'm in Fishers Hill. What time in the mornings do you have in mind andwhat distances you looking at?. This morning I went out at about 8:30 for a quick 22km around back of Hyperama and towards Edenglen. Yesterday was about 10am and went to Kensington.

I have also done +40km rides out to Jeppestown-Edenglen via the hills in Kensington.

Another option for a long ride is to go out towards Pomona where a 60km ride gets in about 20km of farm roads.

On Wednesday afternoons there's ride from Finishline Cycles in Kempton ... but it's faaaast!!!

Im thinking of doing some rides at about 05:00 in the morning for an hour or so. It's more time based as opposed to distance, just would like to try get some exercise in the mornings, and maybe push distance as i go along.

Id love to do some MTB rides in the morning but i haven't heard of any trails around the area, anybody know of any?

Otherwise some road rides for fitness would be great.
