Help a noob - easy going Durbanville cycling routes

I have seen that massive dog, luckily it was behind the fence when I passed... Feels a bit weird going through the farmyard but I'm sure it's a public road, haven't seen any signs that it's private or no cycling allowed. I have ridden it often and have greeted the people living on the farm in passing, nobody has complained about me passing through yet..

The day the dog chased me someone left the gate open! :-(

A lot of cyclist use that road but no one could tell me if it is a "legal" route. Do not want to get into a situation where cyclists and farmers clash about this.

Have not cycled this route last 18 months or so.

I know people that stay on that road. You actually pass their house on the way and then only go thru the farmers yard. As far as he is concerned it is a road anyone can travel. he uses it every day to work and back. We have cycled that route to Paarl many a day and even passed the farmer while having a braai and not a single who ha. I think is fine...!

Surely the slent (past the windmills) is a district road (public) the leeuwendans section is the question

If you carry on with slent you end up against the agter Paarl road

You correct, my question comes when you turn right. You then carry on strait or I you can take a section right again climb through a fence and join a road that takes you to the tar road. Over tar road then you go gravel road again till you get to a gate (sometimes open...sometimes closed). Get to a 4 way "split...take a right towards Klein Joostenberg, bit of a quick zig-zag then you get to tar section that take you to Kraaifontein.

Please post the map here of the options.

doesn't allow upload of .kmz file :-( . Pop me your mail address and will send it

The roads are mostly district roads and there is one gate which needs to be kept closed. Farmers in the area are really friendly and there are stacks of cyclists out on the weekend.
