Hi there,

I need some advise regarding derailleur wheels. I bought my bike with KCNC wheels which I like.

At the Dullstroom event the chain came off the bottom wheel and damaged my inner cage. The mechanic that serviced my bike tells me that the KCNC wheels are rubbish and he suggest I put the normal SRAM wheels when I replace the inner cage.

What do you guys think.

Cheers

Tell the mechanic he got no clue what he's talking about. I've used KCNC on SRAM XO RD for years and never had a problem. They are slightly noisy thats all. I used KCNC because SRAM is so flippen expensive. Your chain came off for a number of different reasons. Chain Too long; Chain too short, Mud clogging up the RD, the pulley's wheels could be worn etc etc.

Well if you can afford original SRAM and don't mind paying a mint for them then get them.

If you want an affordable option that works then get KCNC wheels, they work great.
