Specialized brought out this bike to fill the R 20000 gap between the Epic comp and Epic expert! Bike looks and rides like a dream, and you can really consider this bike if you want to go up one step up from the Comp but dont want to jump all the way yo the Expert!

Would like to hear from more hubbers about this bike aswell as on the rest of the epic comp and expert range. What you guys think of the mixed groupsets?
Joebike Posted February 20, 2014 Author Posted February 20, 2014 Hi Ride4life!the expert has carbon wheels where as the Elite has aliminium wheels,about 150gram difference in weight,the rest are mostly the same,so I think the Elite is a good buy!

werner1619 Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 I had a Epic with Magura MTS brakes ..... they make the weirdest sound when they get hot .... was told its normal ?Anyway, nice bike and hope you enjoy it.( take it easy on the first downhill, the bike has a steep head angle ... you'll feel what I mean )

What an awesome bike and great fit between the Epic Expert (XTR/SLS groupset, but with carbon roval wheels) and Epic Comp Carbon (which has XT/SLS groupset and no front brain). The Elite's full specs can be seen on: http://www.specialized.com/es/en/bikes/mountain/epic/14epicepicfsrelitecarbon looks like it sells in Europe (and SA obviously) but not the US, which is why you won't find it easily on the normal site. Any negatives/recommedantions so far Joebike? I've only had mine for a day and one spruit ride, but it goes like a bomb!
