Question for those who own or sell these, and anyone else with know-how:

does the rear derailleur cable require a cable stop/ferrule where the cable exits the right chainstay? I'm having an issue with my rear mech ghost shifting, and sometimes not making the last sprocket. Toss up between the rear mech spring going poo-poo, and the cable stop/ferrule not inserted, or even both!

If you have a pic of the cable stop/ferrule used, post up please. Much appreciated.

Try it with ferrule....

You said it was checked, but make sure the hanger is aligned , this has always been overlooked even by bike shops

yep, was checked even though i assured the LBS the bike wasn't dropped or crashed. Condition of the mech is still mint, except for its behaviour though.

thing is, i need to find a ferrule that tapers, or is at least 5mm wide to plug the hole in the frame and act as a cable stop. Funnily enough, i eyeballed the valve for tubeless setups..it fits! but the rubber bit is not recessed to seat the cable sheath.

Hmmm....

The thing is if the cable housing is stationery the ghost shift wouldn't be from that. These are 3 i use, you can fetch uhm if you wanna try it. The sram and silver one can/is used for brake housing but can work for gear too
