Sram front derailer

So I need a front derailer, I pop into LBS and buy one, no not so easy.

I need a s3 38, which stands for direct mount 38 tooth, all I could get was 36 and 42 tooth derailers, I tryed the 36 but the chain ring would not clear, is there anything compatible with 38 tooth crank
