FELT FA - 2009

Hi All,

 

Looking to build up a bike with the FELT FA frame

 

Any experience with this Alloy frame, seems to have Carbon seat stays. Currently riding an AXIS Tiagra entry level bike, would this be a substantial upgrade?

building up a bike is usaully more expensive than buying complete. There are some good bargains on complete bike.'

 

I'd suggest decide what your final budget is and see what you can get second hand first.

 

 

But i guess this doesn't answer your question as you were asking about this frame, sorry I can't help with any info on it.

Keen to build a ss, but it will have to wait, cause when I started crunching numbers it works out a little pricey

I will probably use my Tiagra 10 speed group as it has been very reliable, although not the lightest.

 

I have been offered the frame for a reasonable price so really the question is AXIS vs Felt FA.

Personally, I don't think it is much of an upgrade. The carbon stays won't do much for your performance and don't make a significant weight difference.
