Proud to say ... 242 participants in the First MTB challenge in the De Wildt Off Road series !

Nicely done. Now to keep them, and build upon the experience. All the best going forward

Ended up getting lost once and racing past many of the turn offs and having to brake hard and turn around.

All an all a very nice track and finished in an unofficial 2nd place on the 55 on a distance of just over 54 km measured.

Will do this one again!!

Geluk. Goed gedoen.

I don't know if it is viable but you could potentially mark the next race routes the weekend before and make it accessible to riders. They can then give feedback if all the turns are easily followed, just until you have a bit more experience?

I'd be keen to come and do the route with a GPS so you guys can have a profile and route to give to riders.

Please make this work well. We really need a regular "proper" MTB race over a set route. Great to compare one's state of fitness.

Fun event. Did the 35km. Had a few problems along the way. A friends cleat broke out of his shoe and got stuck in the pedal. Struggled about 30min to get it out and somehow reattach it to his shoe. And then had 2 flats along the way as well. Think we came in stone dead last but had lots of fun along the way.

Had lots of fun. Was my first 35km, but definitely not my last. Got somewhat lost a few times, but never so bad that we had to backtrack for kms to get back on track. This is going to become a big event in future if the standards are kept up. Can't wait for the May event.
