Must be the same reason why FNB removed their sponsorship from the Amazing Race Series. What the dispute is about, I have no idea. It would be nice if both parties could release official statements as to why the trail is closed, and what the dispute is about. See a quote from Hopewell Trails facebook page here, about a month or so ago: Unfortunately due to a dispute between the property owners and ourselves, FNB has been forced to withdraw their sponsorship of the Amazing Race Series. We as race organizers have no alternative but to cancel the race and the series. A sad day for MTBing indeed! Edited March 14, 2014 by Brian Fantana
Longbarn Killer Posted March 14, 2014 Author Posted March 14, 2014 I also heard that Masters and Ladies have cancelled their end of season MTB races because of a distpute between themselves and Hopewell. Seems everybody is fighting.
MrJacques Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 Just saw a post on their Facebook page that the trails are re-opening on 1st of May Seems like weekends only though.
