Please don't post unless you are 100% sure. and please give reason for why you think it's a FAKE AD, to warn off others. The 4 I've found to follow..... Got myself shafted out of 2grand in December with pretty much the same modus operandi that you mentioned in one of your other posts. Add was taken straight from Gumtree Australia site and posted locally with just the price changed.... Opened a case of fraud at SAPS. Gave them all the details including a Capitec bank account where money was deposited which they could easily have used to track down said perpetrators. But alas few shoulder shrugs from the SAPS and sorry not much we can do. So moral of the story. If it looks to good to be true, IT IS!! Report the add and walk away. Don't scheme you gonna score lekker as all that will happen is you will get shafted and there is nothing you can do because you willingly paid the money or handed over your item for sale. Daryl111 Posted March 19, 2014 Share Great tip from Gandalf "If you have google chrome, have the picure open in google chrome, right click on the picture and "search google for this image" you will find posts and pictures related to that picture, you will be able to see where else the user has posted the ad or if the picture was just pulled off the net. Same applies for users provided details, a google search will show all related to it. Someone should start a thread "how to avoid or spot a scam" where we can post tips to avoid or spot a scam." Or just google for similar images.
