I hope that your husband is going to be fine and will recover quickly I stay in Woodbridge Island and use the path a lot for training, as do a fair amount of other folks here on the hub. It's sad that an incident like this has occurred so close to home. We are sadly now going to have to be ever so vigilant on what you would assume to be a normally safe place to ride. Hopefully he won't be put off by this incident and will be back on the bike.
chagen Posted March 23, 2014 Author Posted March 23, 2014 Hi there, thank you. Yes he is determined not to let yesterday get him down or to stop him from getting on his bike. At the moment his brother is doing the Epic so were all cheering them on. Yesterday was really a opportunistic attack as my brother and brother in law both cycle that road everyday and have had no issues. On the bright side the attacker did fly over the handle bars and scurried down into the vlei. My husband has his bike back and is itching to get back on. Thank you
