rotorbug Posted April 27, 2014 Share For those Scott owners with the DT nude 2 shocks looking at fitting the FOX CTD Rear shock: http://forums.mtbr.com/scott-sports/ctd-shock-spark-832800-2.html The FOX shock mentioned in the article is here (6.5" x 1.5") http://www.ridefox.com/product.php?m=bike&t=shocks&p=99103&ref=filter The correct spacers are available here: ( Not sure if they will sell to SA) http://www.probikesupply.com/fox-rear-shock-5-piece-6mm-mounting-reducer-hardware-kits/# This conversion does away with the Scott Twinloc lever. rotorbug Posted April 27, 2014 Share This is the best conversion you can ever do! Where did you buy the correct spacers locally? How much did the Fox Float CTD rear shock cost you?
Sephton Posted April 28, 2014 Share The 2014 Sparks come with Fox Nude CTD with remote twinlock. Should be a simple retrofit on 2012/13 models if you can find one.
droo Posted April 28, 2014 Share You can keep the twinlock lever if you get the remote CTD shock, although you may need a new cam. Should come in at around R7k all in.
FORMICA CREATIONS Posted April 29, 2014 Share The 2014 Fox Nude does not fit the older frames. The Kashima CTD is a fantastic upgrade............rather go for the manual version as it has the 3 additional trail adjust settings (not available on the remote version). I also find it is not really necessary to change from trail setting with this shock.........just set and forget!
FORMICA CREATIONS Posted April 29, 2014 Share PS..the hardware is available with the shock from Omnico.

EDIT: You're talking about trail adjust. My bad.
czarli Posted January 10, 2017 Share The 2014 Fox Nude does not fit the older frames. Why do you claim that Fox Nude will not fit frames 2012-2013? Because only of spacers?
droo Posted January 10, 2017 Share Why do you claim that Fox Nude will not fit frames 2012-2013? Because only of spacers? The Nude is slightly bigger at the eyelet body end so may not fit the older frames because of this. The standard RP, CTD and DPS shocks should be fine. Mounting hardware is easy to sort out.
