Come and ride under the Highveld night skies with the moon and the stars as your companions. There is a place for everyone at The Salomon Moon Chaser Night Trail Ride. Regulars, fun-riders, first-timers, parents, grandparents, and hard-core cyclists alike are invited to join in this fun series of night races to add some excitement to the week. This series focuses on having lighthearted fun out on the trails where people can come together and enjoy a wonderful evening of cycling and socializing in a beautiful setting. The course consists of twisty rolling single track and jeep track. These trails will be marked with reflective markers and the occasional surprise. Every effort will be taken so that you will easily be able to find your way and stay on course. A light source is mandatory; it is recommended that you have at least a headlamp or bike light.

 

Remember that kids doing the kids ride must also have headlights.

Timekeeping

 

All runners will be timed by Racetime and results will be available at www.racetime.co.za

 

There will be no water points on the short (10km) route and one water point on the longer route (20km). It is highly recommended that you take water with you.

 

Products on display and for sale

 

The Multisport Basement will have their stand at the event where runners, family and friends can view and buy all the latest Salomon and Petzl products.<br style="box-sizing: border-box;" />Ryders Eyewear will also have their products on display and will offer a 25% discount on the retail price of any pair of sunglasses purchased at the event

 

Food & Drinks<br style="box-sizing: border-box;" />Lovely food (freshly prepared by the Big Red Barn kitchen) can also be enjoyed afterwards so bring the whole family.<br style="box-sizing: border-box;" />Beers, cyders, coffee and hot chocolate will also be served.

They only start again with night races at Red Barn in October again I think. Did the race the other night. They put on a good show there.
