OH it will help. You should be able to do the K2C an hour faster than the Tip trans. I used the tip trans as a training ride with 4 stops(water points), tyre pressure(to see what worked for me) and liquids/eats on the bike. Worked out nicely. Remember to take a buff to cover your mouth incase the wind blows. C u there and lets all have an awesome eventful day. We can make this our own West Coast version of the K2C. :w00t:

Hi Copperhead. The roadworks are on the N7 between Citrusdal and Clanwilliam. Will not affect the race.

There are no roadworks on the road from Cape Town to Citrusdal. So a easy 2 hours drive

Entries closed last night, but we received so many calls this morning from riders that struggled to enter. So the online entries will be kept open till Monday 25 August. If you enter the event after today(21 August) we will not be able to give you a personalized number board. Hope this give every one enough time to enter. Bolla, how many riders do you expect to have and I assume the numbers is up from last year?

Hi. Yes we are up from last year. We expect between 300 and 400 riders

Probably cause it clashes with the Staalwater Caledon ride. Pity. (thats if I got my dates right).

Yep, but the calendar is pretty swamped anyway over the next 2 months, and I think the races will appeal to different type of riders as Staalwater is much easier.

You going for Podium. Started last week with training. Boy did I chop off at 65km. Cramped all the way home. Did a 100km ride. Worst cramps in 2 years. :cursing:

Jaaaa... but take too much salt tabs and cramping will be the last thing on your mind... Test the volume with your ehhrrr stomach compatibility first!

Thanks, had cramp block with me, but it was too late to take it. Dont know if it was the first long ride at a ok pace that caused it. Normally dont cramp anymore. Will try your suggestion. Is it just normal salt tablets?

Very light on daily salt intake. Thanks for the advise.
