My broker tells me that there is no product out there comparable to Cyclesure, but then I look at the thread and they are clearly wrong.

You're brokers been in the mountain cabbge methinks. Just insured with MiWay yesterday. R196 for R30 000 bike. Not the cheapest but no list of terms and conditions as long as my arm. Covered for what I need to be, and accidental damage too.

I asked Discover the following two questions and I am happy with the responses I got.

 

1.I do a few stage races every year and your bike is left in the bike-park overnight with a security guard, If my bike was stolen under these circumstances would I be covered?

 

Yes, there will be cover. As long as the bike remains specified under the Portable Possessions section and due car is taken to ensure that the bike is safe.

 

2.I also race/ride in other country's, will I be covered outside the borders of South Africa?

 

Yes, if the pedal cycle/s are specified under the Portable Possessions section, Mr van der Merwe will enjoy world-wide cover for the items.
