    You can but you probably won't have any feeling left in your hands or bollocks for months afterwards, its pretty rock in a lot of places that you would have to portage on a cross

    Schawalbe Rocket Ron on the front and Racing Ralph on the back, I used Maxxis Icons last year which were also great.

    Sadly not on the podium, we did just under 10 hours last year but we messed around at the water points so this year we should cut some of that time out

    We do a night ride every Thursday night from Parkview Shopping Centre in Pretoria, 7pm but you will need to be able to hold a minimum ave speed of around 21km/h for 40km

    So what is a good MTB shoe for doing the Cape Epic? I have been eyeballing these http://www.giro.com/eu_en/products/men/cycling-shoes/dirt/terraduro-20373.html. They seem to have some pretty good reviews.
