Roads around the Cradle

Are there any roads in particular that I should look to avoid? Is it safe to ride out from the Cradle loop to Magaliesberg and back on a Sunday without encountering too much traffic or other unnecessary dangers?

Where you riding from to the cradle? Early morning is pretty safe, Lots park at Broadacres then cycle from there, else drive out to Valverde or one of the other places nearby and cycle the cradle from there, you will see lots of cyclists once out in the cradle

Thanks for the advice, shaker! I'm thinking of parking at one of the spots within the Cradle, riding out to Magaliesberg and back and then finishing off with a loop within the Cradle.

Then you will be fine doing the loop, have just got back from a shortened ride due to broken chain...there were plenty out there this morning
