Expect wet conditions on route. For those that did the race last year the condition is currently way better than last year. The skies are supposed to be clear from tomorrow onward so here is to hoping the route will drain out and dry up a fair bit.

But not to worry we do have showers available afterwards for the riders and we will have a bike wash service as well @ R 20.00 by Resolution Health and the proceeds thereof will go towards The Rhino conservation.

No Probs Copperhead thought it was you and thanks! Glad you enjoyed the race, you guys were flying past me at the 40km mark, eish (think I pushed to hard at the beginning as always trying to keep up with the front pack )

Yea if you finished before Lolita that was behind you at the point you passed me you would have been 6th as she came in 7th and first female for the 74km.

At least I made my goal to do the race sub 3 hours

I'll let you all know as soon as I hear about the results to see about posting it or where it can be obtained. Just note again It was manual timing so their might be some little quirks with the times to the second so please take it as "a best effort" but at least we can get a good overall idea.

It sounded like I made the top 20 at least :w00t:

How was that for perfect weather and scenery.

Been a long time since I did a fun ride. Was surprised when the 50km started that I wasn't dropped like I normally am. Actually think I was in the top half, very rare for me. Didn't have too much congestion on the singletrack, great idea to have the chicken runs.

Interested to see the results.

Oh what an awesome ride, starting from the registration goody bag down to the personal attention from the organiser! I will definitely be back next year, but keep it quiet as the fact that there were no bottlenecks made this one so much more special. Great down to earth festival atmosphere as well with mix of farm equipment and amazing vintage cars on display.

My bike got dirty, I'm not happy! :P

lol, I had some ladies shout at me thinking I was their mate trying to splash them. I was just trying to get in front so I didn't get held up at the singletrack and going through the water was the quickest way.
