It is Ramadaan, so I'm fasting so cycling is limited to commuting to work (16km x 2 a day).

Yesterday I could not resist and climbed slowly up to Rhodes and did the small single track section which I did several times with my 26er Trail bike (so I got Strava data)

I'm still getting use to the egg beaters and loving it thus far. My tyres were hard running at 2bar cos i'm mostly on the road.

I managed to set a 3rd best time on my first outing on the bike having to virtually come to a standstill on 2 occassions for water pools.

The medium choice was the correct one, I am extremely comfortable.

Despite the hard pressures, I had good grip.

very easy to throw the bike left to right.

and the brain (the reason for this thread) is superb, I'm on the middle setting at the moment and will keep it their for awhile. how that things work internally is amazing.how the bumps are absorbed! nice. The one section towards the end was full of water and went too slowly and had no momentum to take a little climb and was in the wrong gear, I just stood up, bike firmed up and powered up the little incline.

The 29er wheels just rolled over the little rocks, this bike is super fast, unbelievably fast. I'm left feeling that I have insufficient talent to maximise this bike.

Not to want to revive an old thread but it is a year since I got this bike. 3100km later I can say the bike is flawless. Needs tyres now but other than that it is rides like the day I bought it. Almost daily commutes over TM to work and participated in plenty of MTB races and weekend rides. Just love the brain shock, works perfectly. In races I put it on full hard, and on casual rides in the middle for a softer ride.

Highly recommend this bike for someone interested in XC riding
