  1. Hi, I wish to connect the power meter to the Cinch APP but cannot find it the App Store / Google Play Store Does anyone know of an alternative?
  2. Go to the local municipality and make sure you get all the clearances, permissions, risk management plan, etc. not sure if you need to take insurance out
  3. Agreed Jimmy 2.0. some of them do sell, recently bought 2019 Sworks epic in mint condition for a ‘bargain’, basically less than 1/3 of what it costs when it came out new. All the best with rental venture
  4. I compared a lot of things to last year and everything is skyrocketing, exchange rates, interest rates. Bikes and cars are just on another level, but so long we buy these things the prices will go up. There are also a lot of people with a lot of money that don’t have issue paying R250k on a bike, hence they selling. I ma wait for 5 years and then buy those bikes second hand at a fraction of the price. I received a quote the other day for my drivetrain replacement, I’m still falling off the chair
  5. Most expensive goodie bag ever
  6. I mean, when my bike was stolen I was just looking for my frame set to recognise the bike and zilch came up, I even set alerts for the model and make, nothing came up. Its like they sell the components and bury the frames somewher
  7. Back to the question, what happens to these bikes? A few years ago a team mate’s bike was stolen, next day it was advertised and my team mates set up a meet and got the bike back. I really would like to know what happens, this retrieval was the exception. not interested in insurance chat now
  8. I’m with outsurance 1, bike stolen, paid out no hassles 2, crashed road bike, wheels damaged, paid for new wheels. 3, crashed MTB , top tube cracked, front wheel damaged by hub, garmin screen cracked, got assessed. Paid out. all of this was hassle free, so I can’t complain. I know others had different experiences, but can’t moan for now.
  9. I don't have a problem forking out for the card, have done it for years. the only thing I ask is to see some visibile security.
  10. OP above advice is good If you lend the money it is your ding, only yours. Regardless of which route you take, just make sure you ride the damn bike alot! If you ride the bike alot and your life, health, mental health and enjoyment improves, then a bit of interest is negligible.
  11. Awesome, did anyone claim this bike?
  12. Tx for reply. Lbs did talk about a regular hub service. I hope it is not going to give me issues because I'm really enjoying compared to the other bike
  13. Nice review Nick! always great to read about your experienced. Question, why was the inverted shock on S-works abandoned? I recently bought a 2nd had S-Works with inverted shock and absolutely love it. Why was its fame short lived, since it is not included on the newer models
  14. Oi oi oi dunno what to say. I'm thankful that I am not the one having to make this call.
  15. I ride through winter and if I am honest, rain days are actually not that many,so components are exposed, but not that bad. And many okes bail in foul weather anyway
  16. I have a card, so no issue. But getting a day permit seems to be a helluva effort. Especially if you doing non "boom controlled" routes. But like I said, I wanna see rangers on table mountain (Rhodes, plumpudding),I wanna feel safe, then we can talk about permits. I have been paying for years and commute TMNP often, but never see rangers
  17. Agree, doesn't make sense. I put on more bike miles than what I put on car miles.
  18. Same here. Arms and hands took a pounding, but will do it again
  19. Was thinking the same thing
  20. So are they going to have loads of staff to deal with number collection?
  21. Lovely, beautiful route. First time up groenlandberg, love it. My hands and arms numb from that descent, death grip mos
  22. Bru, I think that was the most demoralising part, I was waiting for that section where the wind would be in your back, just never happened. managed 4:30 I think
  23. If I ride faster my arms would fall off first, my pins will dislodge
