Dave Fair Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 I am thinking of buying an Avalanche Cosmic 24" for my son who is turning 8. The bike is getting cleared for R2200. The price is ok, but is the bike any good? Anyone with experiences of the Avalanche kids range?
MTBc Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 My son originally got a BMX for his 7th birthday, but within a couple of months wanted to rather do MTB. He traded in the new BMX for a 24" Avalanche, and loves it. He is 9 now and has ridden it to pieces and still rides it. It's a great option.
Eugene Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 I bought my daughter the 20inch version of your bike. No problems at all. 6 years later it is being passed down to my son. I paid R1 400 back then. Personally, I think it is a good buy. It is heavy, the fork isn't the best and some of the parts are showing rust. But, it is for a child that will outgrow it soon. Kids don't want to win races, they just want wheels to move around on. I would recomend it anyday.
