Mountain Bike Orienteering is an orienteering sport on a Mountain Bike where navigation is done along trails and tracks, using a map to navigate between various control points.

 

 

 

Riders choose their own routes between points.

 

 

 

Registration from 8h00 to 9h00

 

Time-trial starts at 2 minute intervals from 8h30 to 9h30.

 

Prize giving at 12h00

 

 

 

Long distance 23-25kms

 

Middle distance 16-18kms

 

Short distance 10-12kms

 

 

 

EMIT (Electronic timing specific to orienteering) will be used. EMIT hire is included in the entry fee.

I would very much like to do a MTB Orienteering event at some stage. I really love maps, navigation and riding my bike and the those things combined can only be a winner! I'm down in Cape Town now, so please advise if you guys/girls will be having any events down here. Would really like to join in the fun! While I was up north, things didn't work out that I could ever actually take part in one.
