'Dale Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 Go for it Dale. It is an incredible learning experience. Cool, manIll see what the deadlines are, more specific than 6-8 weeks.
Science in Motion Posted September 28, 2014 Author Posted September 28, 2014 Cool, manIll see what the deadlines are, more specific than 6-8 weeks. Hi Dale, thanks for your interest in the study. The first visit can be scheduled at your earliest convinience and availability of the lab and equipment. Should you fall into either group, then the following visits can be scheduled at weekly intervals. Should you have work, family or race commitments that do not allow for weekly intervals then time between visits can be extended to up 3 weeks given that you maintain your usual training routine in between. Also, as one of the experimental trials is a competition time trial, it might take a while to find someone, who falls within 2% of your baseline time trial time performed on your second visit. Thus, all 4 visits are likely to take place within 6 to 8 weeks time, but we are relatively flexible and try to accomodate you guys as good as possible. Please let me know, if you have certain time requirements that we can try to accomodate. Cheers Andreas
Science in Motion Posted October 1, 2014 Author Posted October 1, 2014 Hi All, we are still looking for participants in both groups as some of our participants had to drop out due to crashes in their first road races of the season. Please contact me to get more detailed information and be safe out there. Cheers Andreas
Science in Motion Posted October 3, 2014 Author Posted October 3, 2014 Hi All, we are slowly reaching the required numbers for the 'Elite' and 'Sub-Elite' groups and are looking forward for the first competition time trials taking place next week. Please contact me, if you are keen to partake and learn more about your pacing skill, which is the single most important performance contributor. Cheers Andreas

Oracle BoB Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 Hi Guys, definitely worth it, the data you get back is very valuable and beneficial!
Science in Motion Posted October 20, 2014 Author Posted October 20, 2014 Hi All, the first 'Elite' participant finished his trial today and although I cannot discuss details here, we are very pleased that things went as planned. We are also very happy to see that our 'Elite' group was nearly completely finishing in the first group at the PPA One Tonner yesterday, which confirms the chosen criteria. Well done guys. Also congrats to our 'Sub-Elite' participants that finished mostly well under 5h. Cheers Andreas

There is more to learn. Looking forward to your next visit. Cheers Andreas
