Helmets are like safety belts,it may only save your life if you wear it,but if the neck are not supported (by a neck brace ect),a cyclist's neck may still break. Don't get me wrong here, I am 100% for the wearing of helmets,and never ride without one. I am however of the opinion,if your line has been drawn,nothing will prevent the untimely loss of life. And it is very unconventional for all cyclists to wear neck braces,lol.
