Hi all.

Can someone please give me an idea on what size road bike I should be looking at.

Am enjoying my mountain bike and exploring the possibility of full on road bike as well.

I'm a 180cm in hight, and if weight matters, around a 100kg.

MUCH MUCH APPRECIATED!!

When you see a bike you like, go to their page and go look at the geo's. As some manufacturers measure bike sizes differently. For example a Raleigh 53cm frame is measured from centre bb to seat post tube, but the top tube is 56cm, which would be perfect for you. Specialized measure seat post to steerer tube to get the frame size i.e 56cm. Hope that's as clear as mud :-D

Get a tape measure. Take off your shoes, stand with your back against a wall and insert a hard cover book between your legs and lift it up as high as comfortable. Make sure the book is square with the wall. Measure the distance from the top of the book to the ground.

Inseam measurement multiplied by 0.83 is equal to seat height saddle to BB.

Seat height minus +/- 20cm for compact frames seat post equals frame size in centimeter
