TheGun Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 Hi. I have a Rockshox Reba RL 29 solo air on my Specialized Epic and find that the ride is not very plush. Any advice on how to soften the ride a little?Air pressure, etc are all setup up correctly. Heard about changing internal parts to higher spec might help. Thanks.
Mike Bike Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 Is it a solo air or dual air? If you have set it using the pressures on the sticker on the lowers then the pressure is too high
gpcar Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 Not worth it upgrading parts inside.. What do you mean softer ride? if your air pressure is correct it should ride perfectly...
Odinson Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 Simply drop the pressure in the fork a bit. Don't limit yourself to the air-guide on the lower.
TheGun Posted October 26, 2014 Author Posted October 26, 2014 Thanks will play around with the air pressure. The o-ring does slide all the way to the top of the stanchion on some bigger drops which is why I haven't dropped the pressure below the recommended psi for my weight.
Tankman Posted October 27, 2014 Posted October 27, 2014 Doesn't it have a brain? If it does, set the Brain Fade to its softest setting, basically deactivating the brain and making it feel as plush as a normal fork.
