I am not very happy with organizers of the mtb race at the moment. Still no response from their side about the race at Bonnievale Wine Cellar. Spoke to 5 people already and non of them can help me.

What's the problem?

I had a look at the race tec results. The 60 km road only had 16 entries? Looked at the mtb and other road races aswell, very very few riders. I know only ppa members get timed, but still, geez.

I never like to moan... But not all of us are fast up hills and in the last 20km there were some of the local children and teenagers that like to offer help pushing big guys like me up hills. I dont like it but let it happen yesterday...

So when I stopped at the end I found that the little S¥£%T emptied my saddlebag. There was a a R200 note, brand new multitool, two bombs, tyre levers a tube and a regulator.

there was alot of non ppa riders. I think there was about 500 riders in all the different distances. This race is always on in the beginning of November.

Had a great race in the 31km mtb.

Did the 30km MTB. Nothing technical or too difficult. They could have added more climbs, but it was a nice route. Only complaint is that the spirit at the start was nothing like previous years, as if the cycling part was run down in a haste to get everything over and done with... I had a lot to do with marking and organising the enduro/offroad so next year we might be able to assist with some ideas on the MTB route...

Also did the 96km road race. Thought the first half would be the toughest, but oh was I wrong. The second halve was the real killer. Had a mechanical failure at 15km, but thanks to the help of a great friend could manage to continue in under 5 minutes. Overall a great race. The only draw back was the high entry fees to enter the festival grounds. Nice though that the cyclists could enter for free, but what about the rest of the family. Security can definitely be approved upon. Many rumours of stuff that got stolen from bikes.

The ppa seeding for this race is .60 was it only me that had wind or was my brakes binding?
