Headset spacers necessary?

Hi guys

Quick noob question, I have experimented with different handlebar height, and have found that I am most comfortable when all spacers have been removed (ie the stem is touching the headset). Is this ok, or are those spacers really necessary?

If it suits you then there is no issue. Spacers are there to get the right height, and if no spacers is the right height, bobs your uncle

Edit: Although it is always good to maybe have a few on top, so if you ever change your mind (or your riding style evolves), your steerer is still long enough for adjustment
