varkie Posted October 30, 2014 Posted October 30, 2014 When i pedal my mtb cleat makes a very irritating squeek against the pedal, i have made a lot of boere planne in my life but this one i cant figure out. Any similar experiences and solutions?
CdT85 Posted October 30, 2014 Posted October 30, 2014 I had pedal squeak, did every possible to fix it, turned out it was the steel insert in my crank, into which the pedal screws into that came loose. removed it and lock tight it back in, problem solved

Spray the bottom of your shoe where it contacts the pedal with Silicon spray - if it stops then you know the rubber is touching the pedal somewhere and creating the squeak.
Meerkat82 Posted October 30, 2014 Posted October 30, 2014 Had the same problem with mtb cleats. We had to fasten them but they kept doing it but it seemed the cleat didn't want to stick to the sole of my shoe and moved a bit around. Changed the pedals and cleats.
