Parts needed

Hey guys

 

It's very rare that I ask help from the hub community. But this time I do need some assistance.

 

I'm fixing up a Mtb for a family member, he's currently a student and his parents are doing very little to support him (he's studying full time and working in the evenings). I'm happy to pay for all the parts but currently there's nothing that falls within my budget in the classifieds, so if you have anything I need, that you're thinking of selling please let me know.

 

I need the following:

External BB (the screw in cups, not sure what the technical term is, currently there's a SLX one in but its shot!)

26" QR wheelset (needs to be disc brake compatible)

Rotors and mounts will be bought after wheels are sourced.

Shifters (3x 9) {derailleurs are still fine}

 

My budget is at around R1500, and will be upped to R2000 after payday.

 

If you have anything lying around please let me know.

I have a set of SRAM X7 shifters for you, so may not work 100% if you have a Shimano RD. I do have a X7 RD, not in the best condition, but working fine. Can work something out, but no payment needed.

You can nock out the bearings on the SLX BBs, have a look in the Technical Q&A forum and replace the bearings only should not be more than R100-200
