Strava issues?

Hi Fellow hubbers... first of all its the weekend baby!!! 

 

I would like to have some input regarding Strava... i'm using it since around July this year and never ever had a single issue... i then decided to upgrade to "Premium" but later discovered my heart rate strap wont work with my handset so i cancelled my premium subs.

 

Ever since then i did 5 rides and none of them recorded my activities... it only gives me "riding time" (3 of the 5 rides) but no elevation, distance or route...?

 

The 3rd and 5th ride stopped at exactly 10 seconds into my ride and wont go further than that... if i resume it it will only stop at the next 10 second interval (20 seconds)

 

My Question is do you think they are deliberately doing this because i went down to "free services" or are you having the same issues?

 

I emailed them 4 times but no response (somewhere i read if your a "Premium member" they'll get back to you within 24 hours).. makes me think now...

 

Any help please !!!

Yes i know.. that's why i said if they say they'll contact "if" your a premium member then i'm worried as i'm not... (so i take it they wont contact me)... great service from them.... :thumbdown:

I highly doubt they'd be malicious with your activities if you downgraded back to a standard account. What device are you recording with? Does the device appear to be recording properly before upload?

 

I use a garmin to record but I recently upgraded my phone so decided to test a few rides with the phone to see how it affects battery etc. I see that now the auto pause function seems to be on the fritz with my phone's setup. I checked in settings and sure enough, 'auto pause' is ticked - android app. Think I'll stick with the GPS.

Im using a sony Ericsson smartphone and had no troubles at all before the downgrade. Ill test it one more time this weekend, if that doesn't work ill register as "someone else" to see if i can record.

I also cancelled my Premium Membership. But no problems with recording my rides after cancelling.

 

Have you downloaded the latest upgrade though? That may have something to do with it.

I did a ride this weekend and had some issues - bot sure why - never had issues before .It normally auto pause. I auto paused , but never resumed when I started again

Hi Guys, i re-installed the app for like the 4th time and tried many other things but still the same problem! I have emailed them again and they only responded asking which date was that on...anyway lets see what they say..

 

I even re-installed my phones software and though maybe something with the gps signal might be the problem but map my ride works fine... its just Strava... (the one i prefer to use)  :angry:
