Prescription sunglasses

I want to get transition/photochromic glasses to use while riding my MTB.

 

My day-to-day specs are multifocals, and they're what I use at the moment, but is that normal for cycling or do people usually go with single lenses?

 

With a budget of R5 to R6k, what brands could I look at?
