Does anyone know of any trails around the Malelane area? More marathon orientated.

 

I have done a search but all pervious post are ether old or about DH.

There are Plenty. I am going to ride this Saturday the Shiyalungubo dam Road just outside Malelane. Tough Climbs.

Theres a good trail that goes from Malelane to Baberton over Kaalrug Mountains. Its 104km, with about 3100m Accent. Is that good enough?

We will be there 31-12-14 till about 10th or 11th. Would love to try that ride to Barberton if you are around. Or have you got the route on strava or Garmin? Cheers

Yeah sure. I also want to do a bit of climbing. Give me a shout when your in Malelane. I'm just 30 min away in Komatipoort. I rode that Shiyalungubo road that leads to Baberton last weekend. It's a bitch. Just a tough and almost as long as Baberton'S 15km climb.

My Friend got the GPX Route on Strava (Braam le Grange) . I always ride Kaalrug and Shiyalungubo road, but never both together to Baberton. Don't want to ride it alone. Lol. Needs some Company on that massive climbs ha ha ha

Have you ever done this route on your own or would you....is it safe to do?

 

Also, are there any decent Mtb/off road routes between Komatipoort and Marloth Park? Would appreciate your local input, thanks.
