Also look at the black spade aero frame. They just released their new model. Bike looks great!! Great value for money.u can build up with parts from the hub and end up with a great bike with great parts for a good price. Then u just slap on some clip on tt bars and u have the best of both worlds. www.blackspaderacing.net

If you have no or very little love for thin wheels and your only motivation for getting a road bike is IM then buy a TT and get used to riding alone for long distances.

 

IM is possible on a standard road bike, my brother in law did it. Its up too you what kind of riding you want to do leading up to IM or after.
