Nice. Hakahana is awesome! Was my best time of the series last year.

 

Don't stress too much about the transition, just remember where you racked your bike, and run/walk through,no riding in the transition zone!

Me and my wife are doing the half at Hakahana, as an anniversary outing!

Also,as a runner, I did the while series last year in my running kit. My wife, the MTB'er did it in her cycling kit, no bib.

 

This year, I'm doing it in a Tri-Suit. A little bit of padding, without feeling like a nappy!

I used to be a runner but then it just became monotonous. I've decided to take it up as a challenge. Look out for me in the grey and red SEW cycling shirt!

As a runner, the MTB is pure torture! But that's what motivates and challenges me to get better at it! To date I think I've done more MTB and multisport events that pure running. Life's too short for just one sport!

So, just wanted to say, if Wessel vd Walt or any of the other Advendurance or other organizers read this, Well done in an awesome event! It keeps on improving race after race. Keep it up!
