WATTT Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 We stayed in E this morning, we missed one of our riders that was a little late. Took it pretty chilled over hells and the rollers to the N1 was able to set up a great pace line over and Ryan worked well till we caught C-D on the windmeul road, then it fragmented a bit as riders tries to bridge the gap. Rolling into Paarl the group was rather subdue so after a little respite we had some fun of the front. As we turned to Boschendal we picked up one of our riders who had a puncture from A. He looked pretty cross that he got another puncture after 99er so he dishes out some more pain on the front. Team pulled the group nicely to the finish. Finish line was a little further away than remember, boys finished in the bunch. Boys that were distances when we caught C-D were best caught by G-H so a good effort there. Nice event, organizers seemed really keen. Done riders in E need to learn how the paceline works, either there was someone breaking away for 30 seconds out someone sitting in packed and breaking when getting to front :/ The riders was not breaking away, your team just wanted to control the pace and if some one`s else pace is to fast you just don’t follow and the rider was left alone in front. It is a race not a Double Century or group ride.
