Stefan76 Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 Hi everyone we are currently busy with the development of some trails on our farm in the North West just outside Zeerust it is situated about 250km from JHB and the farm is surrounded by high fences and there wil be wide open grass/camping sites underneath some trees right next to a fresh water spring that flows into a dam where there wil be bass fishing allowed . The trails will mostly be some cattle trails and ofcourse alot of tecnical through the beautifull scenery over mountains and through wide open grass plains , the farm has game on it such as Impala , Redhartebeest , Blesbuck , Kudu , Wharthog and some smaller antelope and the list of animals wil grow quickly . There wil be ablution blocks ( sorry if im spelling incorrectly ) and electricity points ! Its in a safe area and extremely quite and a great place to relax in the bush ! I just want to know what you guys and girls on the forum think about this !! Any info would be appreciated !

Jakkals77 Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 Sounds very interesting Stefan. I think you've got a client already. Maybe a separate 4x4 camp with only water, toilet and a braai area would be a nice idea for those who like the solitude a bit more.....

CogitoErgoSum Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 All the best with the trails. Very hard work. Did my own singletrack section on the plot, on my own without extra help. My 2c - cut the veld grass for singletrack fairly short, then get systemic herbicide (ie outpace) that stays in the soil - prevent grow back. Roundup only helps a short time. The maintenance is hectic if you don't get a lot of wheels on the track. And proper signage is also very important
