Oh my, what wonderful track racing last evening, very exciting indeed, looks like the continental countries gave the anglophone countries a good can of whoop ass.

My favourite was the ladies final points race, what good strong racing. Pity Kirsten Wild could only manage 7th.

There is a place for every discipline in cycling and watching cycling. The only reason I have dstv is for sport, which you guessed it, is cycling.

Last night was mainly team events, pursuits and sprints, the only endurance single event was the ladies points race, very difficult race to race and very fast for 25k's ... hectic and amazing/agonizing.

Love the fact that they are showing the track cycling, as it is a growing discipline in South Africa, we have currently 3 riders there, slowly our core group of track cycling enthusiasts are growing, it shows in the numbers who are actually racing and who are able to race overseas.

I watched some last night..that points race is so confusing and requires a lot of focus as a viewer. The only race you can finish first and not win[emoji12]

An easier race to watch is the Scratch, basically a very short road race and first over the line ... wins!

Points is for the clever cyclists, sprint every 10 laps, for points, lapping the field 20 points, being lapped -20 points, hectic, even the commissairs get confused at time.

Cool thing to see video footage of cycling inside the peleton, it was a first ever. Very exciting.
