  1. I am old school, doping is doping, it is sad, but it is still stealing ... opportunities, sponsorships and public good will. Doping = fraud Fraud = Criminal and Civil liability I think going forward, doping should be criminalised or at least made a statutory offence in which affected parties could sue for damages, I think like what they have done in Germany or France (I think) ... I stand corrected. Doping isn't a crime of passion, it is a crime of long term deception with intent to get the edge against others for some reward, whether it is ego or money ... because it is obvious that we have people participating in our sporting disciplines that lack integrity, criminal or civil liability may get more to toe the line.
  2. No adjustments for the ladies ... were done
  3. The ladies are getting even worse deal, from 113 to 43? Even shorter than the para cyclists ... not going there for an mickey mouse training ride ...
  4. Thanks for the information, and the TT is quite a climb, if one takes into consideration that TT's in general does not have much of an elevation. There would be climbs, do not underestimate the drags and it is a lap circuit, for the master ladies that would mean more that 800m of climbing in February heat, it is going to be hot like the Vuelta La Espana! Whoop whoop, so excited, you could call me a minion!
  5. Thanks, will go check it out. I am grateful that we are getting a good tour organised by a group that has knowledge and experience with hosting tours. It is going to be a cracker. Very exited to visit this part of the world
  6. Where is the route published? I would like to review it and make some plans .... bohwahahahahaha! Evil Laughter.
  7. aggenee, now my cyclist will have to just get more power :-)
  8. I am quite keen on Hoedspruit, lots of climbs, very good racing for the skinny ones. Not for me but my wife will throw her hat in for this champs. And I get to drive there, better and cheaper for a nice holiday! Whoop Whoop
  9. I would pay good money to see more ladies only teams, it was fantastic racing. Loved every minute of it. Congrats to Jo for her magnificent climbing result. We will be back next year too. So much fun to be had.
  10. We already have a Simple Sam also super cool bike but the small is still too big. However as a concept these bikes are very nice. Smaller gear ratio also required here in Joburg.
  11. Schweet, I will go check it out, since they may have my size ... nope the bikes are still too big, I need a 48 though, too sick for words these bikes
  12. Thanks Rolling Stone, we will be there
  13. I was there in the very same room ...
  14. Bloody sad story again, the kit saga is actually symptomatic of what CSA is NOT doing for competitive Elite cyclists. Since they have to pay for their own for everything why would they then be forced to buy kit that they do not want. Shyte story indeed. Just one more reason why a lot of the elite riders wait it out in order for them to compete at Vet and Master level, less interference from CSA and having more say with the money you have.
  15. Good day, Just a question, it the program for the track champs available yet?
  16. My rider and I will be back at the track come September/October to prepare for SA's. Going to be very hot racing this year.
  17. Hi TheDogShow, Hector Norris is a very much active track, weekly league on Saturday from 13H00, quite a competitive as well as social racing happening there. This is quite a lot of training happening there, check out VWE track academy on Facebook to get an idea and contact Jeremy Martins if you want to find out more about track riding times etc.
  18. I am a lady who owns the 105 range, however they do not cater for me on this infographic. LOL
  19. Phone them, they usually have a quicker response then. Still waiting to activate my managers license ...
  20. If more info available, will consider, otherwise will have to skip, the costs are high though
  21. Liked the race, very well done for a start, was actually very well organised (barring results), however, racing for the licence ladies would have panned out very different if they rode alone and was not combined with the racing licensed men of whichever category. I feel these are minor teething problems, which will be sorted out in due course. Thank you Shamus for trying to put new events on the racing calendar, much appreciated. PS - I think the licensed racing groups should have a sweeper vehicle in future, it happened that I became the de facto sweeper vehicle, was fun for me, but could have been a very long a lonely wait for the racers stranded at the side of the road. Will definitely be participating in this event again next year, or any other events organised by this organizer.
  22. The middle one, looks like he/she might be on something, or maybe s/he is the weird one in the family. LOL
